Classic Headshots

I love helping new actors develop their portfolios, and a classic headshot is what their agents want to see. I tend to break the rules and deliver a unique style along with the classic white background. For this session I actually shot on a grey background to give me latitude in post production, I also shoot a lifestyle session to give my clients a few more shots in their portfolios. As a director and photographer, when I’m looking at headshots for my projects, I want to see more than one style.

One of the best things about my job as a photographer is helping people in their careers. I get dozens of calls every month for simple headshot sessions. I like to pick a hand full of my favorites from the session and create a few art images along with my B&W’s, and I can’t tell you how many booking agents love this. It helps them see the images in a unique way, and helps them in casting calls. For Jill’s images, she’s on her way to developing her career with a masters degree in art, then heading to NYC to begin her career. I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes one day, she’s definitely got big dreams and going places. Anyway, I thought I’d PASS a few along for you to enjoy!

Most everyone has seen the acclaimed movie “The Blind Side” with Sandra Bullock. The inspiration behind the movie is Leigh Anne Tuohy, and her speaking itinerary is very busy these days inspiring millions of fans with her story. { When her publicist gave me a call early in 2012 to schedule a portrait session for Leigh Anne, he did not know that I knew Leigh Anne and her husband Sean from many years back.} She’s a very busy celebrity these days, and I was honored to photograph her. Here are some of the photographs used in her new book, as well as publicity for her appearances world wide. Leigh Anne is an outspoken mom who broke all the rules, and she has a heart of gold. It was an honor to be her exclusive photographer for her new project and several upcoming magazine publications.
